Nothing is more important than the safeguarding of our students.
To that end, we fully understand and embrace our responsibilities and duties as set out by Keeping Children Safe in Education (DfE, 2022), the Independent School Standards and OfSTED.
At Kimichi, safeguarding isn’t a buzzword or a system to tick. Instead, we endeavour to make sure all of our staff and visiting tutors are inducted and trained in accordance with the latest advice and guidance to complement our own processes. All of our staff are encouraged to be ‘actively bothered’ instead of hyper-vigilant, with regular student wellbeing check-ins being a part of the school day.
As a school, we are very proud to respond to appropriate DfE directives as context dependent however, we ensure all of the ‘shoulds’ in the guidance are treated as ‘musts’; nothing is more important than the wellbeing and safeguarding of our students and staff.
If you require them, policies relating to Safeguarding, Anti-Bullying, Online Safety and others are available on request.
