Excursions help support the learning process and connect theory with practice. This allows our students to experience the practical relevance of what they have been taught. Excursions might include museum visits for history subjects, or to the countryside for geography-related study.
Kimichi School believes in the value of exploring education in new and exciting ways in order to best engage all students. The value of practical, hands on learning is not to be underestimated, and we believe that students should take full advantage of the excellent resources based in and around Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Musically, we are lucky enough to be based in a city that counts one of Europe’s best concert halls amongst its musical venues, as well as one of the world’s best Symphony Orchestras in the form of the CBSO. We continue to work with both the CBSO and the Birmingham Conservatoire in order to provide the best possible, all round music education for all our students.
With the knowledge that teachers are encouraged to take their students to external sources where applicable, we adhere strictly to our Outdoor Learning Policy (as seen below.)
